My son is anxious and shy. Her response (not at all in a rude way) was well wouldn't sending him to school help break him out of his shell? Being around other kids and getting socialized? My response was, community sports, homeschool groups etc. will all "socialize" him even better than public school could. I am not interested in school settings for "socialization" I am interested in school settings for education purposes. Who better to teach my boys how they need to be taught than myself?Gail A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09807411234466379882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8219288437142752809.post-64091628689730118512014-08-28T22:06:28.103-07:002014-08-28T22:06:28.103-07:00My child has excelled in ways she never could have...My child has excelled in ways she never could have in public school! She was behind due to dyslexia and an issue with her short term memory. I can give her lots of one on one and hands on activities to help her to better remember her lessons. If something is not going right for her, we can switch gears! She is blossoming in ways I never thought possible when she was in homeschool. She jumped up levels in her reading and we have learned she has quite the knack for researching.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10550191410510104672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8219288437142752809.post-34872905031042417752014-08-28T21:24:35.957-07:002014-08-28T21:24:35.957-07:00I couldn't agree more. Oh and if our kids are going to be "weird", they would have been in public school too. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
